RCMP officers take down information outside a residence on Spruce

On July 31st, 2015, Fort Nelson, Joshua Edward Dillon was charged under the Criminal Code 235 (1) with murder.

File # 2015-2038 Northern Rockies Detachment (Fort Nelson)

On July 29, 2015 at 6:30 p.m., the Northern Rockies RCMP (Fort Nelson) RCMP responded to a report of a serious assault at a local residence.

The victim was rushed to hospital, but unfortunately had succumbed to their injuries.

From information received, police believe this to be an isolated incident and 1 person is in currently in police custody in relation to this investigation.

The North District Major Crime has been called in to assist. Since the investigation is still in its initial stages, no further information will be released at this time.
