Obituary – Audrey Joan Porter, 80

January 8th, 1921 – February 14th, 2011

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Audrey. She died as she lived, peacefully in the arms of her family Audrey was born and raised in Medicine Hat. She married her solder boy Jack in July of 1946. This year would have seen them celebrating 65 wonderful years together. Right up to her death she referred to dad as super-duper! They spent their working years in business in Fort Nelson, where they raised two children, Kenn and Kathy. Sadly Kenn pre-deceased her in July 2009 at the age of 59 of cancer, closely followed by his wife Wendy in 2010 at 61 also of cancer. Audrey is survived by her husband Jack and daughter Kathy Dorval (Mike), their family Justin (Erin) and Freesia, Kenn and Wendy’s family Beau (Lenore) and Tracey. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews and all those who knew her. Thank you mom for the great example you set as a wife, mother, and grandmother, always giving, always loving.
