$37,443 raised at Rotary Auction this year

: Different sets of items came up for bid every half hour, and many chose to stay over the dinner hour to see where the bidding was going. When hunger struck, pizzas and refreshments were brought in.

At this year’s annual Rotary Auction, Mike Carleton put his fast paced auctioneering skills to work when the bidding started on big items. He was assisted by The Bear 102.3’s Ken Johnson, while Geordie McLennan and Kim Eglinski kept up with bids from the floor and those coming in by phone. Businesses and community members came together to raise money that will be put back into necessary projects and infrastructure for the community. Rotary is looking for its next project / donation(s).
