VICTORIA-Auditor General John Doyle, has released his annual end-of-year report that summarizes projects not otherwise publicly reported on by his Office. “My traditional public reports are the most visible output of this Office but they do not account for all the work we undertake,” said Doyle.
“To be accountable for that work, we summarize the most important findings and recommendations in Summary Report: Results of Completed Projects and Other Matters.”
This year’s report features the following five projects:
• work undertaken by the OAG Investigations Group;
• audit update of the Police Complaint Commission;
• update on Government’s implementation of BC Reporting Principles;
• audit of BC Transit; and
• examination of School District 40’s Business Company. “Publishing this annual summary reports allows me to identify issues that need a closer look. It also enables me to recognize the good work being undertaken by government, work which would not otherwise have been introduced into the public realm,” said Doyle. “All of my Office’s work is made more successful by building and maintaining positive working relationships with all of the public servants of this province.”
