Snow Slide on Highway 29 at Farrell Creek
FORT ST. JOHN -The Fort St John RCMP and Hudson Hope RCMP are advising the motoring public of a traffic incident on Highway 29 near the Farrell Creek bridge.
At approximately 02:20 am, Hudson Hope RCMP responded to a report of a snow slide on Highway 29 near the Farrell Creek Bridge. Drive BC has advised that as of 04:35 am, Highway 29 is closed between Hudson’s Hope and Highway 97 at Fort St John until further notice.
Road closure is for a high avalanche risk assessment to be completed. There is currently no detour available. An estimated time for re-opening is not yet available. The motoring public is reminded to check for updates with Drive BC prior to any planned travel.
