Update: The Alaska Highway was opened to full traffic at 11:30 pm Thursday.
Two pick-up trucks were involved in a head-on collision. In one vehicle, there was a 22 year old woman passenger and an unidentified man who was believed to be the driver. Both occupants were believed to have worked in the Fort St John area.
The occupants of the other vehicle were a 71 year old man and a 65 year old woman, both from Saskatchewan.
At this time the cause of the accident is unknown, but the investigation remains active and ongoing.
The Alaska Highway was closed until 11:30 pm last night but both lanes are now open.
