On Saturday June 8th, the Northeast BC Wildlife Assn. hosted its banquet and auction to a sold out group. The evening was a huge success. All the money raised goes back into this community for wildlife enhancement.
Some of the projects that the Northeast BC Wildlife has funded include clean-up of Parker Lake, collaring of sheep and caribou, grouse study, and clean-up of Davis Keys Mines.
Some of the winners from this year’s banquet include Doug McKee who won the rifle draw; Gail Dingwell who won the ladies diamond necklace; and Jackie Paul who was the big winner of the door prize, (two tickets on WestJet to anywhere they fly). Moira Biddlecombe and Kym Brenton won top prize of a quad.
This year the Northeast BC Wildlife started a membership drive. Membership includes the ability to vote at the AGM and hold a position on the executive. Memberships must be purchased at least 30 days prior to the AGM.
For more information on becoming a member or to submit a funding proposal please send an email to northeastbcwildlife@gmail.com.
The NEBC Wildlife looks forward to seeing everyone at their next banquet in 2015, which they hope to hold on the main ice surface.
