Hoops for Homes

: The Northern Rockies Seniors Society in conjunction with SD #81 held their second annual series of Hoops for Homes at local schools with teachers volunteering to run the events. Geared to over an hour of exercise for students, activities included warm-up exercises, hula hoops, basketball, throwing balls through hoops/running through them, skipping, ladder jumps, and more. A total of $24,656.06 was raised for the new Heritage Place Supported Living facility for seniors through pledge contributions. G.W. Carlson (above) came in as the top fundraiser on May 3rd with an amazing $7,335.75.

: On June 7th R.L. Angus held their Hoops for Homes event indoors due to inclement weather. They uraised $2,611.53.

: On May 10th the weather was super sunny for Chalo’s event, and after a great workout students were treated to popsicles. Chalo raised $2,544.43.
