The May 24th barbecue provided a feast of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, refreshments, homemade salads, crepes, and baked goods that were devoured by hungry passers-by. In the 10-month ABT program students learn a full range of business administration procedures. Now that their final practicums are completed, these students are looking for work in the community. Back row: Heather Roscoe, Marina Sindeeva, NRSS Director Carol Seidel, Kayla Helget, and Alycia Gregory. Front row: Kelly Clarke, Olivia Ford, and Jillian Fife.

Above: On May 24th students in NLC’s Applied Business Technology (ABT) class organised and held a fundraiser barbecue on campus for their final class project. They raised $1,150 for the Northern Rockies Seniors Society’s new Heritage Place supported living facility. Shown presenting the cheque to NRSS Director Cathy Dolan are ABT students Kayla Helget, Alycia Gregory, NRSS’s Cathy Dolan, Jillian Fife, Marina Sindeeva, Heather Roscoe, Kelly Clarke, and ABT Instructor Alison Starr. “I am very proud of my students,” says Starr. Not in photo, student Olivia Ford. The 2.5 hour barbecue was highly visible from the street, as seen below and all of the tables were full at various times. Photos by Kathy Smith and Joan Kinzett.
