One person is dead after a fatal collision near Mile 83 of the Alaska Highway. At approximately 6:15 Friday night, the RCMP, fire department, and B.C. Ambulance were called to the scene of a serious single vehicle collision.
The elderly male driver of the vehicle passed away due to his injuries shortly after arriving at the Fort St. John Hospital.
Two other passengers were sent to hospital for treatment.
A collision reconstructionist was on scene.
The highway was down to single lane alternating traffic with flaggers at the site.
Motorists were told to expect delays until the investigation was complete.
