After almost three months of snow and temperatures in the -17 to -27 Celsius range, residents did a double take when they saw rain and temperatures rising to plus 11 Celsius on Tuesday morning. According to Environment Canada, 10.7 Celsius on January 19th, 1981 is the previous highest temperature recorded in January in Fort Nelson. It looks as though Tuesday broke that record.
