Shootings at Cottonwood Leads to Arrest of Prince George Man

Northern Rockies RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance with their investigation of a shooting that left a Cottonwood Road home pock marked with bullet holes.
On Monday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. police received information that a house on Cottonwood Road had been shot around 2:00 a.m.
Police attended the residence and confirmed there were up to a dozen bullet holes that had passed through the front wall and windows of the house.
Police followed up their examination of the exterior of the residence with an examination of the interior of the residence where they noted several of the bullets had passed through numerous interior walls of the home.
In one case a single bullet had passed completely through the refrigerator situated in the kitchen.
Although the resident of the home was present when the shots were fired into the house he was uninjured.
Police canvassed several homes in the immediate neighbourhood to determine if anyone has seen or heard anything unusual early that morning, however only one neighbour recalled hearing what she thought sounded like popping noises coming from outside.
As a result of the subsequent investigation police located and arrested a 19-year- old Prince George man shortly after 2:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. He was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun, a quantity of marihuana, and a large sum of money.
Police are continuing their investigation into this shooting and would like to speak with another Prince George man (20 years old) who may have important information that may assist police with their investigation.
If anyone has information about this shooting, police would like to hear from you. If you would like to remain anonymous please call Crimestoppers at 1.800.774.8477 or submit a tip online
