Wayne Sawchuck received his award at the Northern BC Tourism Association.
Recognised as part of the annual Northern BC Tourism Association Awards, in the category of “Educator” was an honourary Fort Nelson resident, and partner of the North, advocate of the Muskwa-Kechika Management Area, Wayne Sawchuk. Wayne was raised in NEBC and can say he truly feels at home in the back country. A forerunner in ecotourism for our area, a passionate advocate for a balanced approach to conservation in resource-rich areas such as the M-KMA, and one of the founders of the model developed for the M-KMA, Wayne has spent the better part of his life writing, speaking, photographing, and leading the movement around responsibly experiencing all that the Muskwa-Kechika and Northern Rockies have to offer.
