Obituary – Susan McCabe Johnston, 64
May 23rd, 1946 – November 28th, 2010
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan McCabe Johnston at Foothills Country Hospice following a courageous battle with cancer on November 28, at the age of 64. Susan will be remembered and dearly missed by her daughter Tara (Greg) Duhaney, her grandchildren, Emma and Grace, her sisters Patricia and Kathy (Larry Lighter) McCabe and the late Nancy Meloche as well as her nieces, nephews and many friends. Susan loved life and lived it fully. Her spunk, spontaneity, quirky wit and infectious laugh will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Heartfelt gratitude and appreciation is extended to the staff and volunteers at the Foothills Country Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness and support Susan and her family received. Surrounded by nature and the mountains, Susan could not have spent her final weeks in a more appropriate setting. A memorial service will be held in Montreal in early January.
