Obituary – Rita Elizabeth Sarah MacIntosh, 15

February 24th, 1994 – May 25th, 2009

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing away of Rita, on May 25, 2009 at the age of 15. Rita was born in Grande Prairie AB, then moved to Fort Nelson, BC, before settling in Didsbury a few years ago. Rita leaves behind her mother Rita (Didsbury) and her father Ed (Fort Nelson). She is also survived by five sisters and two brothers: Lisa, husband Jeff (Calgary), Julie, daughter Taylor (Grande Prairie), Elias (Fort Nelson), Eddie (Fort Nelson),April (Didsbury), Sheryl (Fort Nelson), as well as many numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her fathers parents Nana and Papa. Rita, a grade 9 student, attended the Didsbury High School. She touched the lives of all who knew her, and leaves behind the legacy of her smile. A typical teenager, Rita was entranced by all electronics, namely her cell phone and camera, which she was never without Rita will be remembered as a happy, vibrant, contagious personality, who lit up a room, and who made it her mission to spread her happiness to those around her. A celebration honouring Rita’s life was held on Saturday, May 30 in Olds, AB. Rita has been laid to rest at the Calgary SE Mountain View Memorial Garden Cemetary.
