Cabin Goods Stolen – Police Investigate
$30,000 in goods taken from trapper’s cabins
Northern Rockies RCMP reported that between October 11 and October 25, 2015 several remote trapper’s cabins located on the Komie Road off the Sierra Yo-Yo Desan Road were broken into and several items were taken, including, generators, power tools, and electronics, with a value of approximately $30,000.
Police would like to remind the public to remove valuable items from their seasonal residences while they are away, and to properly secure their properties. “Marking your property with identifying numbers, symbols or letters, and recording of registration numbers is recommended,” Constable Robert Ennis said.
This investigation is ongoing, and the Northern Rockies RCMP is seeking the assistance from the public. Anyone with information about this should contact the Northern Rockies RCMP at 250-774-2700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
